D.A.V Public School, T.T.P.S, Lalpania, almost 85 KMs away from its district Bokaro, is one of the beauties of Jharkhand. Under a keen observation and educational shade of D.A.V Management New Delhi, a notable educational giant of the country, is situated at the foot of a hill called Lugu Baba Mountain, is blessed with pristine nature’s beauty and a banless environment. The school has a long eventful history to speak. It was started in due year May 1990 at Bank More, a particular place at Lalpania with only 62 numbers of students up to std. III. Classes were arranged in B, type residential quarters.
Teachers were assigned an uphill task to groom up the students to make an English medium environment as all the beginners enrolled were from purely Hindi and tribal background. As the place is nestled at a far-flung area of Jharkhand, the establishment of the school was a ray of hope in the life of the tribal people as well as the T.T.P.S employees. In due course, the standard of the school was uplifted and the number of the students went up to 300 in the very next year.
The school which is fully sponsored by the T.T.P.S Management gave a full view over it and provided an impressive building with a massive campus in 1991 to cater all the educational development of the children. The sponsoring body Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited as per the agreement facilitated the school with all necessities to have up to Sr. secondary education. Observing the healthy academic growth of the school the DAV management decided to have composite affiliation from CBSE, New Delhi up to 10+2 levels. The school bagged cent percent 1st division in the first batch of std. X in 1998. Since then the school has reached a new zenith of success with an achievement of a commendable result in std. VIII, X and XII board examination.
The school has its own recognition in the area of highest scoring marks in the subject of Hindi in CBSE Exams. The DAV Management, New Delhi, has not only put this school under A1 category but also has awarded it as a “Pride of DAV” in recognition of its academic excellence.
DAV Lalpania has been rendering a yeoman service not only in the field of education but also in co-curricular activities value education, computer education and sports activities have been a part and parcel to bring all round development of its students.

The school plays and active role in mass immunization programme and other such social welfare campaign. It being a unit of CBSE, it has been participating and imparting training to the students on the path of human welfare, population control programme as per the advisory of UNICEF/CBSE. No doubt, the school has successfully marched a long educational journey. However, still it has miles to go to bring more glory and grandeur. Assembly and Moral Education
To inculcate moral values in the student, the school starts each working day with the morning assembly, that includes recitation of veda-mantra, Devotional songs, patriotic songs and thought for the day. Stress is laid on the universal aspects and eternal values of traditional Indian culture. Short speeches are given by the students as well as teachers. Every morning the assembly disperses with the singing of the National Anthem.
Hawan is performed on every Saturday. Dharma-Shiksha books are prescribed to educate the students the moral values Vedic initiation camps are held twice a year. It is our prayer to God – “May our students and the institution flourish incessantly, shedding the light of knowledge all over India”.
